I up-cycle vintage, scrap, and otherwise unusable fabrics into one-of-one creations, using a combination of construction, dye, silkscreen, and hand painted techniques honed over 12+ years of garment creation.
I am also a collage artist, and make one-of-a-kind hand-cut collages with scrapped magazines & books.
I founded Yon Dale in 2016, when I was working at a Corporate Headquarters for one of the biggest apparel brands on the planet. I saw so much waste - so many good garments and usable fabrics destroyed - that I took it upon myself to be part of the solution.
Bags are where I cut my teeth as a designer, and is my primary use for upcycled fabrics. I offer 3 styles of crossbody bags, a range of duffel sizes, and a tote. All of my pieces are one of one, and I am happy to offer custom pieces through the form at the bottom of my site.
Custom Projects
Yon Dale began as a Upcycling & Customization house - a place to repair & give new life to old garments. We have since begun to make custom, made-to-order styles. This ranges from selection of fabrics and sundries on existing styles, to true 1-of-1 pattern development & execution.
This includes that old t-shirt you want to save for sentimental value, or the old quilt your grandmother gave you, but you have outgrown. Trust us with your past, and we will make something for your future.
